Hey! I would like you to get to know me a little bit better. Sometimes I think it's easy to grow assumptions from a perfectly cropped picture. You'd be surprised how similar my life is to yours. Almost every day I hit snooze on my alarm, at least twice, wondering why I thought 5 am was a great time to start my day. Some days, I feel like a boss mom and some days I’m just bossy. I love being a boy mom- raising boys has taught me about adventure, resilience, and unconditional love.
Steve and I celebrated our 10th anniversary in 2022. He is my earthly rock. Marriage has been so complex yet so good! Even though it is hard to get away from our 3 kids, we still prioritize ourselves, whether it's a casual date night at home or a quick weekend getaway because we still want to grow and thrive in our marriage.
We call our home “the house for the people” or “the Sanctuary.” We love entertaining guests and making everyone feel at home. On any given day, you can catch us trying new recipes or revising old ones. Whether it's just the 5 of us, a friend stopping by for dinner, or entertaining countless people, we love it all! Community is such an integral part of our lives and fundamental to raising our family.
Music and dancing are big-time hobbies of mine. I started playing the violin when I was 11. Frequently, you'll find my family dancing in the kitchen blasting our afro-beats or Rudolph the Red-nosed reindeer since my boys are obsessed with Christmas. I deeply admire the true homesteader life. Even though we live on some land, I realized that I'm more of the “indoorsy” homesteader. I can be the typical girl- getting my nails done and "hair did"- but I also love the challenge of climbing some of Colorado’s beautiful fourteeners, I've summited 5 so we shall see if that number will change in the future. Walking around barefoot with my feet in the sand and that saltwater breeze on my face is where my happy place is...along with desserts...I like those..a lot!
That's me, honey girl!
